Wat Wang Sai, Khiri Wong…

…New And Improved.

Yes, this is another re-visit. But on the way up the hill to Ban Khiri Wong, I thought something looked different. So, on the way back down, we poked our noses in.

Construction is ongoing, but the wat is about twice the size of my last visit. First; there’s the giant gong…

There was a big wooden hammer tucked in the back, and I was oh-so-tempted! The only person around was someone sweeping up the leaves, but of course, it would make a heck of noise. Probably enough to rouse the dead. Maybe next time.

And the gong seems to be part of a new temple complex…

…which is not yet too interesting, until you reach the top floor, where the views are pretty good, despite the early-evening gloom…
