Ban Nam Chuet Harbor…

…Peace Among The Traffic.

As I mentioned yesterday, after visiting the monastery, I tootled almost due north for ten to fifteen minutes in the hope of finding some nice sea views. The road I chose is just a tiny crescent … and to be honest I’m guessing at the name of the place where it’s located. Just down the road is the Ban Nam Chuet Police Station, so I think it’s a good guess.

But “What traffic?” you are wondering.

Well, the area is home to the two main ferry companies that serve Koh Samui. To get into this tiny road, I had to cross a long line of stationary traffic waiting for the next sailing. Being Sunday afternoon, it seemed like the whole island had visited the mainland for the weekend and was now trying to get home. Chaos.

No matter. “My” tiny road was peaceful, but initially I wasn’t sure I was going to get a sea view. At least, not without trespassing; as, all along the road, there were properties bordering the shore. Until, at the very end, there was a tiny road leading to a tiny harbor.

Not much more to say really, so I’ll shut up and show you the photos…
